Hello Arsenal fans
Arsenal postponed their Europa League clash with PSV on Thursday due to a lack of police resources following the death of The Queen.
It also means they could be forced to reschedule their game against Manchester City on October 19 in order to play PSV’s game before the end of the group stage on November 3.
The calendar has already been truncated due to the Winter World Cup which will start on November 20.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger has broken his silence at Arsenal and backed Mikel Arteta’s side in an unlikely title challenge.
The most successful manager in the club’s history has never returned to the Emirates since his abrupt dismissal in 2018 and has staunchly refused to comment on the squad he left behind.
But now the 72-year-old Frenchman has opened up about the current state of things and can’t hide his admiration for the work Arteta has done.
Wenger said: “I would say they are going in the right direction. I honestly think there is no weak position in the team…they are promising young players and they have bought well this year .
“There is no completely dominant team this season and Arsenal have a chance with the potential that is there.
“Before, we were in the top four and why not yet?
“You can’t even rule out the fact that they can fight for the title and hopefully they can.”
