Abu Dhabi has been ranked the safest city in the world for the sixth consecutive year.

The 2022 Numbeo Safety Index 10 safest countries also include Sharjah (4) and Dubai (8).

The three United Arab Emirates were ranked ahead of cities like Zurich and Monaco.

With a safety index of 88.4, Abu Dhabi has strengthened its position as a safe and secure place to live, work and invest.

The crowd-based Numbeo list ranks 459 cities based on user feedback on issues related to cost of living, safety, pollution and crime.

Abu Dhabi was rated “very low” on crime, fear of being mugged or robbed and drug use. He scored “very high” on feeling safe walking alone.

Created in 2009, Numbeo is an online collaborative database that allows users to share and compare information.
